Any recomendations on what i can do to replace it ASAP?

Im considering using a computer power supply as a temp fix, because every other adapter i have maxs out at 1A.

Order a replacement power supply from Farnell or whoever you have instead over there. What model laptop is it for?
laptop....grrr.... i meant LCD panel , its a samsung 151mp. I left it in my condo , and am visiting my parents for the weekend. Im about to hit up radio shack and pull out the soldering iron 
I used to use the 12v power from my computer. just run a pair of wires along with the VGA cable.
if you are going to use it in the projector ( back light removed ), 1A is enough. Most power is consumed by the backlight.

na....if it unnderpowered it will not light up??.....butthat guy was right if the back light is not connected 1amp will powerit..
