I have used *Russian* excellent quality steel, go figure, so look around, you might be surprised.

FWIW it was the greenish slightly mottled shiny surface type.

Stampers here buy the huge rolls, flatten and punch steel on demand.

Russia does not produce M6 and EI steel with a thickness of 0.35 mm.

toroidal steel and steel strip cores are available to me. For my products we need M6

Hi ... no idea if this may be relevant but how about contacting a transformer manufacturer like e.g. Transformatory toroidalne - Producent transformatorow Toroidy.pl ? Maybe they know where to get it?
