I have a few used projectors I've been playing with and want to use at parties. I'm looking for advice on a simple/inexpensive way to put the projector farther from the screen, yet still keep the image on the screen. There's usually some small adjustments on the projectors, but I'm talking about something like doubling the distance. I hunted a bit on the web for "long throw" and "zoom" projector lenses..but they're all pretty expensive. Could I just use some inexpensive zoom lens for a camera? ...or something similar? Its just kind-of a camera zoom lens being used in reverse, no? Since this is mostly for movies at parties, even some minor distortion is OK, as long as the image as a whole is fairly in focus. Any input is appreciated.
