Can I ask where did the crossover pcbs come from?
There's probably a market for them.
I expect they sound as good as they look.

Many years ago I built his Phoenix dipoles after experiencing the advantages and disadvamtages of some Quad ESL57s and 63s. and then went on to buy some Martin Logan Aeon hybrid electrostatics.

Not exactly!

I sold the panels & crossovers and cut off the uprights to leave the bass units which I am using as subs.
Sacriledge I know, but the panels needed replacing and I didn't have the £2k needed.

I really recommend & prefer any dipole design over a box.

I'm listening to some TDL RTL3se's with new tweeters just installed (Seas TF22s), having relegated my Naim SBLs to rear surround duty. (poor bass unless against a solid wall). Neither compare too well to the Aeons of course.

Yes. I have an Ixo active crossover (3.5Khz) driving a Quad 306 for the mid/woofer and my EL34se/Akido combo for the tweeter (Scanspeak D2008).

The RTL3s are also active using the Ixo but I am replacing this with a new crossover at 2.5Khz.

I am favouring the RTL3s so far, though the tweeters are brand new so will need sometime to settle in.

The Aeon subs will be equalised with a Linkwitz Transform to compensate for the fall off below resonance (~58Hz)
