Lf353
Hi,
Wonder if anyone can help please - is there a more modern replacement (better?) for the LF353 op-amp? Same pin connections required.
Many thanks,
David..

An OPA2134 should be an improved drop-in replacement. The LF353 is basically Nat Semi's take on the TL072, and is a basic medium-speed bi-fet op-amp.
Quite a list (and opinions) here. One thought is to fit a decent socket and try a few. The pin-outs are all the same on these duals.
This shouldn't apply with a well-designed board if you're doing an upgrade swap-in (and this is for a cmoy-style headphone amp), but the guy comments

The specific chip I recommend for beginners is the OPA2132PA. Under ideal conditions, the cheaper OPA2134PA performs just as well, but your first DIY headphone amp probably won't be flawless. I've had circuits where the OPA2134PA would distort or oscillate, but popping in a 2132PA or 2132P would fix the problem.
Mentioned in this article opa2134 Like opa2132 While it is completely different. Also
TL07X Not fair.
