Where can I find a set of plans for building klipsch LaScala replica speakers. I hava the plans for the KHorns and would like to have LaScala plans also. In addition, where is a good source for the appropriate drivers and horns for the big Klipschs? Thanks.
Hi,
I have a set of La Scala plans I will email you if you like. I forget the URL of where I got them. Not very hard to build, from about 2 1200 x 2400 sheets of 18mm per pair.
You can buy the drivers direct from Klipsch. Prices are in $US from late last year. K55 and K77 drivers and K400 midrange horns come up on eBay quite often.
HERITAGE PARTS PRICE LIST
KLIPSCH PART # MSRP
K-33-E WOOFER 121501 100.00
K-75-K TWEETER 129010 60.00
K-52-K MIDRANGE 160708 62.00
K-703 HORN 130024 30.00
Cheers

Hello!
Could someone provide me the T/S parameters of the K33E woofer?
And since I'm looking for a replacement woofer to build a diy LaScala (only the bass section), I've heard that you can increase the bass a little bit by choosing a woofer with slightly different parameters. How? What parameters should I look for?
I've got this: is this usable? Ciare HW380, it's a 15" driver
SPL 98dB, Re 6.5ohm, Fs 28Hz, Qms 2.8, Qes 0.3, Qts 0.27, Mms 112g, Cms 0.29mm/N, D 320mm, Vas 260dm^3, Bxl 20,4Wb/m, Xmax 4.5mm, Le 1,6mH.

Here's a thread about porting the LS for deeper bass:
