Labeling/Marking Enclosures ?

Labeling the front pannel of enclosures ("On/Off", "Min/Max", "CD/Phono/Aux" etc.) in a way that looks decent remains a mystery for me. I've tried some rub-on labels and some a couple of other ideas and they all look realy tacky. It doesn't help that aging eyes make fine-detail hand work problematic.

Silkscreen techniques seem way to expensive for one-off use.

What do others do?

Any suggestions for websites or sources for info and materials?

Hi, Sam

This may not be exactly what you are looking for,
but it might give you some ideas.

In Issue Two, 1994, of The Audio Amateur (now
AudioXpress or some similar spelling), Mark
Rumreich had a short piece on how to use
transparent, adhesive-backed drafting film to make
logo emblems for his gear.

(Elsewhere in the same issue this guy named Nelson
Pass raised the question "What is the sound of one
transistor clapping?" 😉 )
