Hi, I have a Krell KSA 250 that just started to take it's sweet time turning on, once it gets going, seems to operate just fine till you switch it off, then same thing all over again next time you turn on. any ideas?
Thanks Al

Protection circuitry electrolytic caps getting leaky perhaps? Or something to do with the bias or offset circuitry of the same nature? It looks like it runs hot which accelerates aging of electrolytics.
the filter caps on the turn on board are too close to high power ( hot) resistors, they dry out. Change them all to 105C. I have a KSA 250 which needs that update as well.
Those class A amps run hot. I had two of those and the 150’s. Beast of a amp and always loved the sound from them
The power caps have a ton of heat near them

No buzz - their in the soft start turn on circuit, not the power supply for audio stages.
The only bad caps that would cause a buzz would be the main filter caps.
