any one out there know if i need a module for the kicker zr 1000? i have this amp just lying around and i don't know if it works. it doesn't have a module the slot is empty. does this not allow it to turn on?
The amp would turn on without the module but no sound would play through unless the module was bypassed with jumper wires.
so the amp would in fact power up but no sound? how would i be able to use the amp or install the jumper wires?
I have three of the crossover modules that I will mostlikely never use because I don't own kicker ZR amps.
If you sell those modules, you should have an agreement with the seller that you're not responsible for damage that may occur to the amp if the module is defective. Many of the modules have defective surface mount capacitors and will cause an amp to fail. The module may work in some modes (HP, LP, full range) but not in others.

I do agree with you on that, I have not used these for awhile since I had a zr120. The ones I have are SWX, ZRX, AMR (mid range).
Hey there, thankyou for the diagram on how to properly jump the crossover riser board. unfortunately i could barely tell whats what, is there a way you can send me a better pic? thanks
thank you the diagram helped out, i also have a mmatts d800.2 that goes stright into thermal any ideas?
I don't know anything about the mmats. If no one else can help, start a new thread and post a photo of the inside of the amp.
I USED THE JUMPER WIRES ON THE AMP AND PUT A 12 VOLT POWER SUPPLY TO IT AND ALL IT DID WAS MADE A LOUD CLICKING SOUND BUT NO POWER LIGHT CAME ON
The LED could be defective. Did you connect it to speakers to see if it produces audio?
If it doesn't produce audio, measure the DC voltage on the center legs of transistors Q220 and Q226 with the amp powered up. Place the black meter probe on one of the non-bridging speaker terminals.

THE AMP DIDIN'T PRODUCE AUDIO SO I TRIED AS YOU SUGGESTED BY TAKING A VOLT READING AND THE VOLTAGE REGISTERED ZERO FROM THE CENTER LEG TO THE NON-BRIDGABLE OUTPUT, BUT FROM THE GROUND TERMINAL TO THE CENTER LEG I GOT A READING OF 0.32
