Key Digital Video Switches too expensive

Hello,

I have been looking at some HD video switches and have checked out the Key Digital line of video switches. I am just wondering why are they so darn expensive. They do no upscaling or video conversion, just plain ole switching, and yet the prices are so high. I personally think the prices are ridiculous for what it does. Switching video isnt that complicated even though its switching HD signals.

I took a quick peek inside a 8x4 unit through a small opening at the top of a unit and I saw a PIC, but it may only be for the IR and RS-232 communication, im not sure.


Does anyone know why they are so expensive? Is HD video switching more complex than I think it is????
