Kenwood KA-3500 bias adjustment

I got a nice Kenwood KA-3500 amplifier from a friend wich I'm planning to re-cap. First I measured the DC offset wich is aprox 28mV per channel, so that's not too bad. Next I wanted to measure the bias but the service manual is not clear to me, so I'm hoping some can help me out.

Yes you are correct.
Mark the trimpot positions with a very fine permanent marker pen BEFORE you start.
Allow amp to run to get up to temp (lid on) before adjusting and check again after running with lid back on.

Try to use mini grabbers for this job. Reduces the risk of slipping from high to almost none.

Hi Dan,

Thanks to for the reply. I'll give it a shot. My KA-6100 has nice test points to connect the probes (like my other amps) so I got little confused here. I'll post my findings back.
