I have searched and havent found another thread like the one I'm about to start.
Here is the short story --- I have a bunch of speakers, leftovers from dead equipment, parts, pieces etc.
With winter coming on I'll have plenty of time for a speaker project and these leftovers/ junk could be put to good use. I have looked around and i like this idea http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/8543.htm
I intend to probably rough out some boxes soon for a sound check only, to try different configurations sizes etc. I have several different brands of speakers in the same sizes. My first impulse was to just shotgun the boxes, not do any of the math and just go with what sounds best.
I have learned much from the people here and I am now having second thoughts and will at least try to get close with enclosure sizing.
Now comes the part where I need the DIY community help !!!
I will post pictures of some speakers I intend to use that are private label I need some idea of who manufactured these so I have some idea of the parameters.
Any help would be welcome

kinda what I thought. I do however have a pair of old paper cone Pioneer 15". Not very pretty but they do work.
The other thought I have entertained was to drive the 12" from a seperate amp thru the sub output on my head unit. I will probably try both.
The target on this was for music speakers that would see some HT use on occasion.
Any ideas on the mfgr of the M&K's.
I think the mids are Scanspeak / vifa ? The woofsI think are Eminence, I could be way off on both.

Another question that may be a given for you more seasoned speaker builders.
What is if any difference in mounting speakers flush or behind face opening? I'm sure there is some info on this but I have never seen it
