Just bragging a little...

I actually received a comment last week that the speakers sounded a lot better now (after I replaced the manufacturer's crossovers with ones of my own design).

Could all these years of being around me finally be wearing off?

..... one of these days could she actually say "I don't mind having to need a cheat sheet to turn the stereo on and get sound from the VCR, as long as it sounds good." .... okay, I am just dreaming.

pretty much the same around here... i usually veto something before Ruth does

Another great wife! It's typical of here, too. I haven't done anything too radical yet though. We will see what she says with my upcoming subwoofer project- (8 eights in a BIG cabinet)

Alvaius,
I think you're dreaming... If she actually says that, I want to meet her!

She Who Must Be Obeyed.....

My babe has come to accept me doing things like getting up and swapping polarity or eq and other tweaks, and she now knows not to whinge - when I get the sound right she just bops, and usually until far too late.
Lately I am finding her to give some quite valuable subjective opinions, and I am finding these to correlate quite well with my own (unspoken) findings, and even say things like "Are you sure that the polarity is correct ? ".
Whilst my system (at her place) undergoes stepwise evoloutionary changes and improvements, I find that when she is happy with the sound she lets me know. 😉

Eric / - domestic bliss is a happy sound system.

I have no wife - do not have to worry
about any DIY activity. 🙂

But have noone special to give me a warm hug, when I am in need. :xeye: :xeye:

halo - has to take the "bad" along with the "good" ...

Don't worry halo, we're here for you, well, I am anyway, I don't have anyone either, perhaps its because I am only 17, who knows.. 🙂

My new fiance supports me quite well. I guess its easy since we live 800,000 KMs apart for 2/3rds of the year (school!). But she definitly supports my habbits and expects that when we get a house, the entire basement will be for my DIY projects.

Long live women, for without them, life would suck.

Yeah, It's great when your significant other likes the new sound system(s)!

My wife was listening to my new amp (still progressing)... ...she came home the other day and said she can't listen to the music in her car. She actually said it hurt her ears!!! This is a two sided coin, since she now appreciates good sound, she wants me to install a sysem in her car... ...but, she's also mad that I ruined her music listening experience while driving to work/school.

As far as spending $$ on toys/tools she's great. I've bought a Signal Generator, a new Oscillscope, Fluke DMM, LCR meter, and some really big heatsink, Two motorcycles, and a yet another firearm... ...all in about the last 9 months. Not to mention I was out of a job for 6 of the last 12 months. (Of cousre, we did buy her two motorcycles this summer 🙂

My wife is the best wife in the world!
