Hi All
I have a pair of Jeff's great Kairos 2 way stand mount speakers, and just as I was getting ready to order a pair of his woofer modules kits, Meniscus sadly went out of business.
While I am sorry to see them go, they do not seem to have made provisions to publish any of the speaker kit designs.
I am not even sure which exact SB Acoustics 10" woofers these kits use. Does anyone know which models they are?
I can design the crossover to connect them to my Kairos myself.
Thanks!

While your specific question was answered, I can state that Meniscus does plan to make the kit plans available, they just don't have it working yet.Hi All

IIRC, It was the 6 ohm model of the SB29RNX. When Jeff released his design, that was the only one released by SBA. The 8" driver came later...

Excuse my ignorance, but what needs to be working to share plans? While your specific question was answered, I can state that Meniscus does plan to make the kit plans available, they just don't have it working yet.
Many of the Meniscus plans aren't public domain, i.e. you must buy them. Jeff's family receives some portion of the Bagby designs.Excuse my ignorance, but what needs to be working to share plans?

I had the same question, good to know it's the 6ohm. I'm using it in a 3-way build so decided to look in to Jeff's woofer module as a good starting place for crossover design.
Have you had a chance to design a crossover? When I put Jeff's recommended low pass crossover network into software with the SB29 it seems to result in a 3db peak at 70Hz and a minimum impedance below 3ohm.
