It seems that i have trouble in the positive modules that control the +rail voltage .IC 601
I swapped from a working one and all was fine .
Anyone been there before ?
Anyone knows if these are available as a replacement part ?
Kind regards
Sakis

Talked with local JBL people and they thought that i come from Jupiter ....
Originally they said that they stopped servicing these amplifiers just because of that ...

These amplifiers became obsolete many years ago. There does not appear to be any service information left. If you have a service manual, can you repair the module?
Maybe it is similar to the MPX1200?

No the module is a black box and contain parts marked as A1 or Z that are totally unknown ...
behringer EP2500 operates under the exact same principal i may as well copy the circuit from there and adjust it for the MPX amplifier
could be a nice option

Have you a manual? Just in case all that is left is here; JBL MPX300 MPX600 Service Manual free download, schematics, eeprom, repair info for electronics
Good luck!

I presume the switching FET is OK. Is the gate feed resistor OK? Is there 15V reference and the bootstrap capacitor OK?
yes ...checked all of these and many more before posting
Point is that from design aspect both pos modules are in the path of ventilation and picking up all shorts of dust, smoke, moisture so I expect that this is what originaly caused the trouble ...
Even though nice amplifier this is a design flaw
