Now i know its a few years since the whole company folded up, but i believe their tube division that was making the new tech tubes was going to be sold to another buyer.
Does anyone know what had come out of it?
I have not heard any news, but its sad to no longer see any more UK made valves.
Im sick of all the rebranded russian and chinese tubes.
I read that Blackburn Microtech were planning to eventually start producing EL34 and other power tubes once again also, which mades me wonder if they actually still had the tooling for producing the tubes.
If anyone has any contacts from ex- employees, im keen to hear back to see what the fate was.

I heard they went fully bottoms-up in 2009.
Now some audiophools spend ridiculous amounts for the crt based E813CC.
Honestly..

I wish i ordered some before they folded up.
I heard alot of positive stuff on them though, some said they were microphonic, but most people thought they were good.
I would never pay the stupid price those that are asking for them on Ebay, but i support future tube development.
If they were made from electron gun components, then they should be fairly long lasting, as we all know that CRT tubes last tens of thousands of hours before they ever give trouble.
They had a unique sound, but the E813CC was not a big deal for me, i was looking forward to their EL34 that they claimed they would be building.
Im interested to know if they actually still had mullard tooling left in the factory. Either way, if the claims were true that someone was going to purchase the valve division in the closure, then something could have been saved. What's happened to all the machinery after closure anyway?
