IRFP044 circuit without N's?

I have a car audio amp using IRFP044's but none of them are N part numbers. Most of the amps I've messed with have N's and P's I believe. Can a circuit be made without IRFP044N's? The amp needs some 44's replaced so it doesn't work. Otherwise, I wouldn't have the questions.

The N's in the part number do not denote N channel or
P channel parts - it's just a part of the IR number.

You should be able to plug them right in if it's an analog
amplifier, and just adjust the bias if necessary. If it's a
switching circuit, I would still give it a try.
