Hello guys, I am designing a class D audio amplifier for my senior design project. I figured out that i would need a gate driver and my team has decided to use IR2011. before hooking it up, i want to test the deadtime. i am not sure how do i go abt making a test circuit to test the dead time. pls help me out.
thanx a lot.

Hi, smartsabby
You can do it openloop. Cutoff the feedback network. Put squarewave on input (400-500khz), and with dual trace osciloscope, you see the original squarewave from the generator and square wave on top and bottom of the driver's output (at mosfet's gate). You can see how much shift during turnon and turnoff.
