I suppose it goes like this.

I only have main ac out on my transformer. What does this 12v do and what happens if I don't connect it?
Guessing it must be powering ic1 which is it do with relays and speaker protection. Silly me! Thanks!
Why would anyone buy something without knowing how to use it?
I like soldering. Doesn't matter what.
Look up the datasheet of the protection IC used. (µPC1237?) It probably has an "AC detect" function to shut off the output more or less immediately after the power has gone out, with a sensitivity (secondary voltage) adjustable over a wide range via a resistor.
We had this topic come up recently with a uPC1237 board (mod included). The problem there was that the OP wanted to switch to a SMPS, where there's obviously no mains AC as such. I recommended a small (3 VA max) additional transformer.

RomanM,
Any direct link? 😉
Did not see this thanks-2-buy shop.
im new to forum. not sure i can post direct links to ebay. there is active item on british ebay now "Speaker protection board Power supply Rectifier filter DIY kit for amplifier". Also googles well with whats written on the board "integrated filter protection board".

This is a solution I've used a few times. I bought a bulk lot of cheap 12vac low power EI transformers just for this purpose.
"Features: suitable for single cattle then two separate channels of the amplifier board dedicated to make wiring more simple, ground loop to a minimum, low noise"
Single cattle? LMAO I wonder if it's related to high fever amplifier...
