I have just aquired one to strip with a faulty back light as anyone used one before and had any problem with them ? or ideas

well thats the question i have a lcd panel at the mo but im not happy with the quality so im moving to the next stage.
I have dismantled the monitor and found it really easy to do so, the only problem with the panel is that it is connected by a rather short ribbon cable to the board so needs mounting right next to it. I hava also remouted it in the monitor frame to provent damage and placed it on top of my ohp. All i need to do now is widen the ohp lid to show more of the panel. The picture quality is top notch. though i keep thinking of building a diy jobby with the bits. and a bigger bulb.
