I have 4 spare WR125ST drivers. I have a few Apex Jr tweeters also.
I want to make a soundbar, though it is not for critical listening, just TV and DVD player.
I have a 55" TV at present, but SWMBO has plans to upgrade to a 75", so I'll size it for that.
Referring to the attached rough sketch, my idea is to put a pair of WR125ST at the extreme ends of the cabinet, with an internal panel dividing the soundbar volume into 2 equal chambers. One driver will be forward facing and the other will be (about) flush, in the soundbar's end cap. The helper tweeter will be near to the inner side of each forward-facing driver at either end. I'll likely run the WR125ST's full range, with a high-pass filter on the tweeters.
Now, I've seen the aperiodic cabinet design for the FR125S, and I'm thinking I can double the volume and then adjust the aperiodic venting to suit.
Is this feasible?
Thanks
Doug
