Hi
I intend to buy one 200AS2 and would like to know if it’s using the Ti TPA3251 IC like used on the little brother 100AS2 ?
Thanks
Eric

I was surprised also, it seems to apply to 100AS hence my question regarding if it applies to the newer 200AS2.
Here is the info from Audiocircle regarding the use of TPA3251 with the IcePower 100AS;

They sound pretty much the same, other than the 3255 having more power output. So the 200 sounds much better if more output is needed. The difference in price is so small that unless just using them for tweeters in an active system, better to just go for the 200's. They both share the same power supply. In single channel or mono version, 100 or 200. With the 100, you can drive both channels to 1% THD+N before the supply runs out of steam. But with the 200, the supply runs out of steam first with both channels driven. So the ultimate setup is dual mono 200AS1's. This also allows to spread the heat more evenly across the amplifier case. Although these amps run super cool either way.
