I am adding a Receiver PI Pro to the below IanCanada stack to connect additional inputs from other sources - coax spdif, Toslink optical. Does the IanCanada stack with add any sonic benefit (eg rechecking) to these inputs or is it more of a pass through?
John
- FifoPi Q7II
- PurePi II ultra capacitor/battery power supply(no batteries)
- MonitorPi Pro display/Controller/analyzer
- TransportPi AES

If you use the Receiver PI to feed into the FifoPi, then the sonic benefit would come from passing through the FIFO with galvanic isolation can clean reclocking. Receiver Pi just makes a convenient way of getting those signals into the FIFO.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
I just added the ReceiverPiPro to the stack above with a Raspberry Pi 4. The streaming portion is working fine however I am getting no signal from a toslink optical input nor from a coax digital input which are plugged into the ReceiverPi DDC which I just added.
I assembled the stack in the following order:
The ReceiverPI has a red light on.
Thanks.

I assembled the stack in the following order:

Ok, found the issue. I went back and re-read the MonitorPi Pro docs. I had not connected the DDC cable from the MonitorPiPro to the ReceiverPi DDC.
All is working.
All is working.
