i accidentally shorted a 36volt DC adaptor which is from my printer, but i was testing an amp with it.
after i had shorted it, it wont turn on. it gets a tiny bit warm when its pluged in, but not as warm as it use to.
how would i go about fixing this ? or is it screwed forever ?

Hi,
Since it is warm some current is passing which means the primary is not open circuit. It's possible the secondary has gone open circuit. Could be a non resettable thermal fuse inside the coils.
Probably junk but worth opening up to see if something is repairable.
