Hi,
I would like to find a through hole PCB mount 1/4 inch phone socket (Female)
to use inside Cadsoft Eagle.
I would have thought this would be easy but alas it is not!
I can't find any libraries for common brands like:
Switchcraft
Neutrik
Amphenol
Schurter
CLiff
I would really like to use this part:
ACJS-MHD - AMPHENOL - JACK, DUAL, 6.35MM, PCB, STEREO | element14 Australia
I know all the info is there in the spec to draw this part up myself but I have only used Eagle a few times and I remember drawing up parts before really broke my spirit. Surely there is a eagle part library out there (I have searched) which has a common, good quality 1/4" phone socket?
Am I missing something being a noob? Would this problem occur in a program like Altium?
Thanks for listening to my frustration.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

And I would contact the Eagle people directly and ask if they have any such models. And I would contact the connector makers and ask them if they have any models for it as well.

The ability to make your own parts in EAGLE is a valuable skill. You need to learn how to do it to be able to use EAGLE proficiently.
