How to include a feedback control knob in this spring reverb system?

Hi all, I posted this in the live sound/instruments forum but didn't get any response so I thought I try again here :xfingers:

This is the reverb drive and recovery system I have built:

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

I would like add a feedback control knob into the system for some controlled ringing/feedback.

The Doepfer A-199 Spring reverb has one but I'm not sure if/how I could get a similar result. Here's a video of the A-199 feedback control in action:

I have tried a few different methods, one of which sort of worked but ended up in uncontrollable screeching. Other methods also produced scary results or just added a little unwanted noise.

Is it possible to achieve what I'm looking for with this system? As space in the enclosure is an issue, I'm looking to do it with a single pot.

Thank you 🙂

Same people reading it here as two sections up from here.

I think we responded in another forum where you posted this.
I mentioned it in my thread about the crosstalk issue, where you were very helpful. The speaker towards the springs idea you posted as i mentioned is unfortunately not suitable for this project as the enclosure is barely bigger than the tank itself.

I then started a separate thread in the live instrument forum which got no replies. I don't know what people do and don't read so I posted it again here.
