LOL i was just about to reference zaph's upcoming minitest (but he beat me to it!).
The nextel coned drivers have been out for a while and i wish at least one or two established loudspeaker designs using the 7 incher were around. Zaph's and this test here: http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1025 really make me stand up and take notice (price-performance issues aside). very close to the mag cone excels without the associated hideous resonant peak and resultant reduced usable freq range. maybe with the 5 inch some designs will pop up.
