Hi all
Anybody have any experiences with these? On there own not so good as they handle no power, and are low in efficiency. But like fifty or so in a line array.C-T-C would be really good.
Commends?

I used these with floor standing speakers. two 8in sony poly woofers and horn loaded b1s with small cardboard rear chamber. sound is surprisingly good, with great imaging. there is no crossover on woofers and 4.7mfd cap on b1s.
I gave these speakers to my friend, he is quite happy with them

line array ?
I'd suggest a pile of the hivi b3s, only $11 each.

You could run 16 or even 25 to really get the cone area up.
the b3s has 6 times the area (30cm2) and a f3 sealed near 100hz while the b1s has 5cm2 and f3 near 300hz or more.
And 2 of the b1s cost about the same price as 1 of the b3s.
And the b3s has a notch filter done by Zaph............... (4.3uF + .08mH + 30ohms).
For the price of 50 of the b1s, I'd get 25 of the b3s, you'd move tripple the area.
Combing is combing, you will need buch of eq on the high end past 1khz. I know that because I had to fine tune in my dual stacked 4" bamboo (5" frames) using pennies to get the most highs.
Closely read the "Kuze array"

notice the 1/12 octave freq response unsmoothed and the hashy step response.
Don't forget your baffle step and I'd want bass support also.
