I recently bought a pair of Infinity Kappa9,nice mids and highs but nothing of solid bass ,regardless of the wear of 2 big woofers each unit.PLEASE I NEED HELP TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM,it seems its a problem in designing the very swallow cabin. Thanks

With these speakers there`s only one way to go; bi-amp the speakers, bypass the original bass-filters and run the basses through some active filters. Everything else is like beating a dead horse, it won`t run anyway. Use the forum to get some cheap & good stuff.

this speaker is a known amp killer.

yes, it is
yet, I have experienced a cheap NAD driving it, with ok result
but one of the few, as he has burned several other amps
he is now driving them with older Nakamichi, and no problems at all
but my 40watt Mirand still sounded better
a bit of a surprise as I didnt even know if it would survive the test
but yeah, it got hot when activating the EQ function :hot:
a bit frightening with only one pair output devices :p
but it worked, and sounded very very nice
he had never heard them play that good before, or after :)

but I understand there are two Kappa 9 models ?
btw, I think the woofers were replaced, as the surround had rotted away

Have they maybe been repaired ?

propably was the 9.1 or 9.2 or maybe the 9 at normal mode or else your amp
