Hi there,

Is anyone of you fellow members from Norway willing to help me purchase and ship an item to the US ?
The item I am looking for is listed on one of the websites that would allow transactions only to members residing in some European countries.
Will pay for your time.
Please PM me for details.

Thank you,

Tom

Hi, I think most Norwegian web-shops would not anticipate much business with export to US since our prices are generally much higher than yours, hence they have not put any effort into payment solutions etc. What dealer is this? Can you link to the webstore?

Out of curiosity: Are there any special requirement besides a specified invoice and packing list required for export to US. Is there a link to relevant US customs website?

This is the website. They list used equipment. Item in question is Electrocompaniet ECI-1, which seems to be in great condition. I am trying to purchase this amp for ... sentimental reasons... Frankly, even with English translation I'm not sure if that listing is legit hence asking for help
https://www.finn.no/bap/forsale/ad.html?finnkode=326983837

Its value is below $800, which implies no import tax/duties.

This is a site for Privat classified run by a major media house. Seller is legit and his ID is verified towards site owner.
He has 13 user feedback from other sales. All giving him 10 out of 10.
I propose that you hit the "Kontakt Selger" (i.e contact seller) button.
You should get access to a PM page and ask if he accept paypal and is willing to send to US.
If no luck contacting him (site may require you to register) feel free to PM me.

Pre-Roaster? Probably something funky with the translator service.
The linked page show an Abrahamsen integrated 70W amp (v2) and a CD player (v1).
Only integrated amp is mentioned in the text of the add.

Abrahamsen was fonder of Electrocompaniet. When they had finical trouble and the estate was bought by investors he surprised everyone by not staying with the company, instead he started a new company named after his own family name making stereo products. Haven't heard the equipment, but said to be very good. Distribution was more mass market compared to Electrocompaniet. From what I gather on Norwegian fora, Finn Abrahamsen passed December last year after prolonged illness and status for support of his equipment seems unknown at the moment
