help with 260w rms amplifier

I made this amplifier but i couldn't find the tip140. instead ibought the tip142 becouse is equivalent, but the amplifier doesn´t work.
Can anyone gives me an advice please, i have spended a lot of time on this project.

I wouldn't call it very good, it can be improved in quite a few ways fairly easily.

The output resistors are labelled wrong. They should be 0.47 ohm not 47 ohm. Also the 10 ohm at the output should be 0.1 ohm.

I can't figure what the 270 ohm 1W + 47uF 40V cap is doing.

None of those things should stop it from working though, just make the output very quiet.

35-42 volts on each rail would be OK. The diodes could be 1N4148 but 1N4001 might be better suited to the temperature curve of the output devices.

Please don't expect to get a reliable 260 watts RMS from that amp. I don't know how the author claims that figure.

NO.

I can't think of any amplifier that can drive a 1 ohm load with any reliability.
