When I cold start my AU317 MK2, the speakers buzz audibly right after the relay clicks (even with the volume at zero) for about 15 seconds until it settles to a very faint buzz. I checked DC at the speaker terminals and the right channel spikes to about 500mv and gradually comes down and wanders around 1mv. The left channel does not spike and stays stable at 0mv.
I also noticed that the balance knob is a little scratchy and often cuts the right channel when I turn it a bit. Touching the knob without turning it also results in pops. I checked all connections and reflowed the tone control board but the problem persists.
The speakers output stereo and sound good after the DC offset buzz settles. However, when I use the headphone jack, everything sounds like it's mono. Sounds like the signal is creeping into both channels.
I also noticed that the volume pot is not the original 150k X 2. It is a 100k x 2.
Anyone encounter similar issues or know where I should look?
