help needed with Eiki lc-xc1 ballast

I have problem with Eiki LC-XC1 projector. When I press the power button it tries to start but stops very soon. The bulb does not light up (bulb itself should be ok). I'm quite sure there's something wrong with the ballast board unit (Ushio). Has anyone an idea how to solve the problem?

It looks like that a bit but it's not exactly the same board. Some people quessed that there might be a broken diode or thyristor.
