hi.
can someone explain me what resistors do i need to get for my crossover? i have 2 questions
1. do i need a 10W or 20W resistors? this are the only W options i found (woofer=4 ohm 40W RMS. full-range woofer=8OHM 10W RMS)
2. what is the meaning of this 1OHM resistor (marked in the picture)? it dose not seem to change the output on VituixCAD, this crossover is based on a design from the software lib.
this is the layout
Peace and love

As it is, that resistor is shorted and changing the value will have no effect (perhaps you already know this).
Vituixcad should show you that it does make a considerable difference - in this case. The speaker impedance is also quite low.
Is this an existing design or are you working through this yourself? You may be able to eliminate the resistor after some work.

i see no effect, why was it in the original design then?
You must remove the short circuit before you will see a difference. Right click on the resistor to do this.i see no effect,
You should ask the original designer, has this design been proven to actually work?i see no effect, why was it in the original design then?

thank you! it does make a slight difference. You must remove the short circuit before you will see a difference. Right click on the resistor to do this.
Please tell where the schematic is from.
I'm no expert but putting 0.6ohm across the woofer baffles me.

You're welcome.thank you! it does make a slight difference.
I don't see this as slight, however without knowing the other side of the cross it is yet to have a lot of meaning. However, after fixing the impedance you'd find keeping the slopes more gentle will improve your chances of success.. unless you have known reason to do otherwise.
