My room is odd shaped and constructed from concrete block. 1 door no window. dimensions are as follows.
6m long
3.5m wide one end
5.5m wide other end
side walls are not parallel
3.3 and 5.5 wall are parallel the door is in the 5.5 wall off centre
no wall is the same length and the ceiling height is different 2.5m
concrete floor the building was built like this to avoid a drain and get max footprint
I have heavily studded the walls and bored both sides 12mm ply inside 25mm MR mdf on the surface and ceiling used rw45 insulation through out and decoupled the studs from the ceiling and i have used about 200 tubes of acoustic sealant. this room will almost airtight
my question is do i sit on the door wall approx 1 meter off the wall or do i sit at the shorter end 2 meters off the wall.
not fully finished yet so no testing done, i just want your opinions on odd rooms
I have 4 big subs in this set up and clean low end is the goal

Do not faulture my friend it is coming, I need the mind of the hifi collective. I can not do this on my own. I have another post I am looking for help with also, have you seen it? thank you for taking the time to reply. Steve
Regarding where you sit, you’ll have to experiment to learn where the room sounds best… rooms with all walls non-parallel are unique in their modes and the only way to understand is trial and error.
This will be true for listening position as well as subwoofer placement.
When you figure it out I’m sure it’s going to be incredible!

Ahh, the Holy Grail....side walls are not parallel
I have monitor audio 500silvers 7g. I have never been that impressed with the 500s but I am holding on to hope that in the new room they will shine.. my old room is too open. knock throughs and open plan is just too difficult. I could never get it right without sitting in the middle of the room.. If this repeats itself in the new room i'm not too bothered.

Your speakers have a broad dispersion, I'd plan on sitting on the short side with more space behind you, that reduces the back reflections influence. The side reflections are something you have to treat acoustically, either with diffusors or foam but that depends on what you prefer, diffusors give a wider stage/room impression, foam sounds more precise but narrower.
If you had speakers with controlled narrow dispersion, I'd choose the other way around.
A carpet or carpet floor will also help. What else furniture will you put there?

Yeah, avoid large, horizontal added surfaces, like desk, coffee table, etc.
Soft padded chairs or couch are ok.

I am hoping to be sitting at the short end approx 2m off the wall. This will allow me to the speakers about 10 feet apart. plus I don't want to be less than two meters away from a sub. That's if i chose 1 sub in each corner.Your speakers have a broad dispersion, I'd plan on sitting on the short side with more space behind you, that reduces the back reflections influence. furniture will be big sofa. A big tool chest but a nice not one a big stanly box. bean bags.
I am planning on heavily treating the back wall also.

Fortunately you can try it in various locations without much trouble, and choose what you like the best.
I would guess the best sound would be with the speakers/subs on the left 20' wall, and away from the corners.
My living room is about this size, and is set up like that, and sounds great.
