The “web only” pricing on seemingly random items cam be shockingly low. Often an end run, and may be out of stock a while when sold out. If you find a part # you use, and it’s got the red star by it it’s a good time to stock up. I scored a bunch of ON MJ21195s for $2 a pop a couple years ago. I suspect it was the same with those capacitors.I purchase from Newark frequently. Check out their product discounts
I ordered some schurter power inlets from them that were at a good price and were supposed to be in stock.
They didn’t calculate shipping at checkout.
When I got the email regarding my final invoice the shipping was astronomical…more than the parts I ordered.
When I inquired, they told me the parts were shipping from Europe somewhere.
Tried to cancel the order, but it was too late.
I’ll never use them again.

Yes and no.Did you order from Newark before? Did all transactions go smoothly etc?
While I lived in the US I ordered from Newark on a semi-regular basis. Everything went smooth. They're a reputable outfit.
My experience has been less glorious from the northern side of the 49th parallel, however. I once made the mistake of visiting www.newark.com and ordering from there. Well. That's their US site which meant obscene shipping fees, customs fees, etc. None of this was disclosed at the time of checkout. I made a pretty big stink about it and they ended up refunding the shipping fees.
If you shop from Canada make sure to use their Canadian website: https://canada.newark.com/ then all will be smooth. Unlike Mouser, Digikey, RS, and just about every other electronic component distributor, Newark isn't intelligent enough to use your IP address to serve you a country-specific website, so make sure you pay attention or you'll be paying for it later. For this reason I only shop at Newark when I can't get what I need elsewhere.

I've used Farnell (in the UK) many times without problems, and they were the preferred supplier to NXP(UK) when I was there.
When I order in the UK and a part comes from the US, there's is a note in red on the product page to the effect: "Shipping from U.S, extra £15.95 fee", is it not similar your way round? Also, I can filter by 'U.K. stock only' to eliminate these parts with extra international fees.

Yes, I stock up on many items as well.. I have s*** load of parts from newark. The “web only” pricing on seemingly random items cam be shockingly low. I also purchase connectors, drills, wire etc from Newark and have stopped buying the garbage from Ali with a few exceptions

Quality seems on, but weal see.
The op amp looks like its what I want. Otherwise I might have to buy a whole dbx xover just to boost my subwoofer gains. Im content with setup otherwise Id otherwise rather get that part from Newark.
But then again I can use a xover frequently.

There was not any notation as to the item locations. I was on the U.S. Newark site and the only information indicated when ordering was “in stock”.When I order in the UK and a part comes from the US, there's is a note in red on the product page to the effect: "Shipping from U.S, extra £15.95 fee"
I assumed (wrongly) it would also ship from within the U.S.
I called and complained, there was no offer to rectify the situation.
Funny, I just ordered quite a few parts for a build. About half had to be shipped from the UK (I'm in the USA). No charge for the shipping from either location as I exceeded the minimum for free shipping on the TOTAL order. It was clear as I ordered each part where it was going to be shipped from. The only complaint I had was the US order came in a gigantic box with the parts sort of loosely tossed in with a few air pillows. The UK delivery was neatly and carefully packed in a box just the right size. The UK order arrived before the US order but overall, I'd use them in a heartbeat.
I use them a lot. Have since the debit card was invented, and they allowed individuals to buy. Before that I used them at work. Recently a lot of the stock has been removed from the US to the UK. Recently the box to check that disallowed showing stock from outside the country has been removed. Having had one of the 3 day UK stock items take 8 weeks, I never order items from outside the US. (A TI dip op amp) Canadians are advised not to use newark US due to UPS & Fedex loan originator fees on shipments from the USA. Sometimes you can force USPS shipping, which hands over to Royal Mail which handles the customs without a loan origination fee. But sometimes newark doesn't allow USPS shipping.
End of bin stock gets huge discounts. I almost never buy resistors or capacitors from anybody else. DIgikey has charged me full price for e-caps that were 8 years old. Newark puts a star by the item past shelf life & discounts it. Newark in USA also has a mark for stock that incurs a customs surcharge, which allows me to avoid buying stock from a certain international bully.
Sometimes when you buy a stock item, it turns up an empty bin. Instead of allowing a fill or kill option, newark back orders the item and you pay a second surface transportation fee weeks or months later. When Mouser does that, the 2nd freight is free. OTOH the item I ordered in stock from Mouser took 8 months.
As I'm 800 miles from the SC warehouse, sometimes if I get an order in by 1000 it arrives next day 1730 for surface UPS rate. (I live in a UPS hub). Mouser charges me 50% more for surface, then if they ship on Thursday or Friday, they send it by 2nd day air for the surface rate. If I wanted to overheat the planet I would have checked the 2nd day air box.

I've ordered from Newark many times over many years both from US and UK stock. No complaints. The only issue I had was with an order I placed about a year ago for some Fischer Elektronik heat sinks shipped from the UK to the US. The shipper lost the package. I waited the shipper's recommended time for them to try to find the package but they never were able to locate it. I then called Newark's customer service to report the missing package. The Newark customer rep said they would investigate and get back to me within 24 hours. I received an email from Newark the next day confirming that the package was lost and that they would credit my credit card for the full amount of the lost items. I subsequently reordered the items and that order arrived with no issues.

That's a pain. This is how it shows US stock on the UK site (the warning is more brown than red), with the 'no delivery surcharges' button on the left to filter them out. I've almost been caught out by this once or twice.
