RH84 is good for doing a decent sounding amp with small OPTs.

red with envy!
Just lying around?? I can't even get hold of toroidal trannies here.

yup..lying around
forgot which amplifier i salvaged them from a long time ago
so was just wondering if there could be anything i could be making out of it
i think their last application was with a 2A3
oops sorry for omitting the details,
single ended, 60-65ma is rated
it sounds quite limited as to what this can be used for.. no?![]()
Obviously you'll need to buy some GU50 tubes and sockets.
2 if you want a traditional SE, 4 if you want to get funky and make an SRPP/SEPP parafeed on. Yves has a good circuit you could base it on!
Those OPTs are not limited at all, you luck, lucky man!

Do you like circuit boards? You could try a Get Set Go.

What about a simple KT88 :

You can swap the KT88 tubes with EL34/6CA7 and the 6N1P with a 6DJ8/ECC88/E88CC.

That link is to a file on your HD... only of use to you. You'll have to attach the map to a post.

I really liked that 6EM7 DC circuit when I built it - sounds remarkably good and it's easy to build. The valves are cheap but it's only about a watt output.
Gordon Rankin's Bugle is another worth trying - 45s are nice and output's nearly 2W IIRC.

Post 15 is a Kegger SE6v6/sl7, which 90% done with. Just need to finish wiring.
With nice iron like yours, I'd be building something where I could play with the UL taps.

How about Tubelab's Simple SE or the Tublelab SE? Pick up the PCB from Tubelab George and you're half done.......
