Nearest store is 50 miles....
Closest participating store. 42.8 miles.......I guess not.
I'm not feeling the love. I stopped by my local record store to spend some time perusing the used LPs only to find a line of people waiting to get in that went halfway down the block. Moving very slowly. I left. Good for them (the store), I guess.
I don't recall seeing any man buns, though.

It seems grocery stores and department stores around here are selling vinyl in large enough volumes for them to devote the space to it.
My favorite record store is 60 miles from here, and had other obligations today like going to Ice Chips in Boston with my wife.. lol
Vinyl never went out of fashion in this household so my wife would be puzzled if I were to brave the crowds to buy vinyl on this day of all days - she would rightly figure there were 364 other days to procure my vinyl fix.. lol
I've been predicting for 20yrs that vinyl would be resurgent, but given the market and the fact that half of this vinyl is purchased by people who don't and probably won't own turntables I am worried that it is just a flash in the pan like bell bottom jeans, a short lived fad.

Ripped and torn jeans seem to be popular, and even leg warmers.

There is a Books a Million store about 15 miles away that sells vinyl, mostly new artists and 180 gram stuff for a rather random range of prices. I have purchased a couple of records there, and the sales girl needed an explanation as to what it was and how it worked.....She still asked.....WHY?
I keep one of these in a tray that's built into the dash of my car. When asked what it is, I reply that it is an old age test and you fail. Occasionally someone will recognize it as that thing "so and so" wears around her neck. Apparently a female pop star has a gold plated version on a necklace.
