Please give me a suggestion to buy a good/useful handheld oscilloscope, possibly under 500 EUR (approx 600 USD), new or used.
My main interest is in digital audio.
Best regards.

Your question is detailed like: I want to buy a car with four wheels ;-)
You should give us here more information:
What bandwith do you need?
How many channels? 1, 2, 4 ?
working on NiCd or disposable battery?
Storage function mandatory or anolgue satisfactory?
Are you working in a high voltage area or is it low voltage?
Any other "goodies" like hardcopy printer function or whatever?
ETC.
There are more than hunderd differnt handheld avialable. So if you want a useful answer, please provide the specs.
hth,
Andreas

RE: handheld oscilloscope
Hi Andrea,
thanks for you reply.
My main interest is digital audio, so 100 MHz are appreciated, but 20 MHz are quite satisfactory.
Two channels are enough.
No specific need about battery. I am not involved in outdoor servicing. I am searching for a handheld scope because my workbench is the same desk where I work/read/study. A "normal" scope would not find space on my desk.
Storage or analogue? It would be nice to process/post-process signals with my PC (FFT etcetera).
Sometime, but only sometime, I work with tube amps and preamps, so high voltage there.
Other "goodies" like hardcopy to a printer are gifts.
