Hi,
I have been looking for a schematic for this amp for some time now. does anyone have a copy they could email me? I have an offset problem in one channel and have done the easy things like replacing electrolytics in the audio sections. A schematic would be a real help. I have looked on the web, to no avail. I'd be grateful if somebody who had one would share it.
Thanks,
Robert in Los Angeles🙂

I wish there was a parts list for this amplifier especially the semis. I'm pretty sure the outputs were the 2N3055. I think this was the starting point for James Bongiorno's work under SUMO brand and the later Ampzilla 2000.

laelectric,
Thanks I got it. Funny I think I went there to hfe, then got distracted and
didn't make it to the schematic or something.
llwhtt, if you search for James Bongiorno you'll find more information.
Also try something other than google, as I've been getting better results
that aren't forced/paid advertising sites into googles "context" searches.
JB offered to upgrade a couple of peoples amps for them for about $600
USD which would have doubled the output of the amp.
Sadly, you should find the same guy posting about it in a few different sites.
That isn't the sad part though. I think the same guy spent three years or so
and buy the time he supposedly was going to take the man up on his offer,
he died. Then you can read about the guy lamenting about it. He even
wrote somewhere that he asked JB again years later if he would honor
the $600 price he'd quoted years earlier...the posted yes, JB said yes.
I think then the guy got pissed when JB stopped answering his inquiries
and posted it. Then someone posted that JB had died to the OP.
Finally, the OP then complained that now he'll never know if
that amp would have really been good if JB had modded it
for him. With someone posting later that yes it should have
been, and gave the OP a run down of JBs accomplishments.
Cheers
