Dear DIYAudio community,
I am selling a tube preamp that I bought in 2011 while I lived in Switzerland. It is (IIRC) a copy of a Graaf preamp. The unit was made in Germany and it looks like the workmanship and the choice of components looks very good (at least to me!).
When I returned from Switzerland the unit made some buzzing sound so I brought it to a local repair shop (sticker still affixed to the back) and it ran great after that. I put the unit in storage 6 years ago and recently dusted it off to try it. The same buzzing sound started again, so I immediately turned it OFF. I don't want to mess with this thing anymore, so I am hoping I can find a good home for it.
The unit features independent volume control for Left/ Right channels, but you can switch (if you prefer) to a single volume control knob with the left toggle switch. It has an outboard transformer.
The unit features a phono stage and a magic eye.
I really love tube audio and it sounded great with my Dr Klimo monoblocks!
I have a deadline to clear the equipment that I am no longer using- I will accept the best offer by December 17th. Please be aware that the unit is quite heavy... Best offer wins!
