My friend have this transport. Now he want a pickup laser for spare parts.
Do you know if it's available in somewhere?
I have heard rumors that this pickup is glass-type, so the life is a lot longer than usual. Do you think it can function for 20.000 hours? I am right?

In my experience, it is the platter motor that goes bad on the CDM9pro, not usually the laser. Also my experience that both the motor & the whole 9pro mech are impossible to find as replacement parts.
CDM9 laser failures are fairly rare, in my experience, but do happen. I'd say they are 95% reliable. So, generally, yes, laser won't be a source of trouble.
