gold cap power supply ?

My DAC psu is 2 x +/- 5V and I have a bunch of 600 pieces BC components 0,22F gold caps to put in parallel.

Maybe if I use a few more, the "battery" lasts for one CD when charged to 5,5V...

The discharge curve of a capacitor is exponential according to e^(-1/t) while a sealed lead acid battery has a relatively flat top curve and a sharp knee. Maybe 6V nominal or 7.2V full charge voltage is within the tolerance of your DAC.
