I am going to build a pair of Cyburg's Needles with the Visaton FRS 8 drivers.
There are two versions of the driver one 4 Ohm and one 8 Ohm, the 4 Ohm one has got a higher QTS making it more suitable for the Needle.
I'm sure I have read that an inverted LM3875 GC is suitable for a 4 Ohm load but would like to check.
Would be grateful for any help.
Regards - Jem

just as long as you don't exceed the current output limit. Which means a transformer of around 18-20V
Dear Carlosfm and G4ME,
I think I'll buy the 8 Ohm version I don't want to blow me lovely amp up.
Thanks for the advice

you will be fine with the 3886, its rated for 4 ohms even with a tranny of 25V. Heck you could still use the 3875 with 25v tranny, i just wouldn't crank it to 11.
