So, with great reluctance I have decided to sell my beloved Zaph ZD5s. This is a well know design but here's the link:

Zaph|Audio - ZD5 - Scan Speak 15W8530K00 and Vifa XT25

This is a truly awesome speaker. When building I followed the designs pretty much to the letter.

Here's the madisound order confirmation so you can see the parts chosen:

Add to that shipping and customs, and the cost of just speaker related parts comes in at around £500 +. Add quality wood, damping materials, binding posts etc and the cost to build well exceeds £600 and that doesn't even begin to take into account the hours taken to build them.

They're constructed from 18mm 13 ply birch plywood, all edges rounded and sprayed black.
I must be honest here, and say that there are some minor imperfections in the finishing. If there are any interested people I will be glad to provide close up shots all around.
The first photo below in fact shows them sprayed black with a spray can. I have since redone this with a proper spray gun so they are looking a little better than that. As I said, if there is interest, I can provide a many shots. Anyone would also be welcome to come round and inspect/listen to them if they wished. I'm in London, E2.

I'm going to ask £500 for them. I'm sure you could not find better sounding speakers for this money.

Thanks
