Selling a beautiful pair of Fostex FE167eN drivers, Enabled by Dave, with wood phase plugs. These drivers are in excellent condition, with relatively low hours.

Asking $250 CAD. All proceeds will go to help Ruth and Dave. http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/planet-10-hifi/304811-lets-help-ruth-dave.html

I'd love to sell these locally, but will consider shipping within North America at buyer's expense.

Please PM me if interested.

Are these bass reflex enclosure only speakers, or will they work in BLH or other enclosures?

Hi Matt,

Yes, they will work in other enclosures. There's the Half Chili Chang, designed by Scott Lindgren before the driver went OOP. This was the enclosure I was going to build for these drivers. There are a few documented builds on the web, but I don't recall anyone here locally building this particular design.

There's also the Frugal Horn XL. I've heard them with the FF165WK drivers, but not the FE167's. They sound quite nice with the 165's, but don't produce much deep bass. Here's where the 167's may have the advantage, but at this point I'm just guessing. Actually, I probably could have tried them in the Planet_10 boxes, but it never occurred to me until just now.

Here's a pic from Dave's site:
