Hi all,
Due to an upgrade these Fostex drivers are now up for sale.
I'm changing to some MArk Audio Alpair 7's for my diy frugal horns and have no use for these any more. They've bedded in nicely and give an excellent range of sound. I did use some wde range super tweeters to assist the high frequency range but once the Fostex's fully bedded in they became redundant meaning the Fostex drivers were giving their full range of sound frequency and very goof they were too.
They don't sound their best is since moving house and having a different listening room hence the change to something more suitable. The cabinets I've used are heavily influenced by the room they're in and also their positioning.
Only defect is one of the centre conces has a slight dimple thanks to my cat. It doesn't affect the sound at all. It could probably be easily popped out with some skilled use of a vacuum but I don't have the courage to attempt this. The sound was unaffected so I left it. The other driver is perfect.
Any questions please ask.
Gavin
ALSO
They will also come with an enabl kit/treatment to self apply and enable coating. This is a process which is proven to increase the drivers performace with less colouration and give a more natural/neutral response. I never got around to applying it so its all new and ready to be used.
