The sale is oriented to people who want an improved Denon DL103R without spend the money in a new Denon DL103R cartridge in this case the original tip and cantilever it is wothless.

I understand perfectly if you are looking for a working condition cartridge, It seems you don't understand so please read the tittle thread"FS Denon DL103R cantilever broken".

I think if you have in mind a best cantilever & diamond tip makes perfect sense to save money buying a 2nd hand broken cantilever, the difference to save is near 100€.

Of course if you are interested make me a sensible offer can refuse.

Cheers
Felipe

Hi,

What makes you think it can be repaired to be better than original ?

How do think the cantilever repair is going to go ? (clue - a bodge)

FWIW a pristine 0.2 nude elliptical tip sounds as good as anything,
the only problem its it doesn't last too long * compared to much
more advanced stylus shapes, which basically last a lot longer.

Anyone with any sense would buy a new DL103R, use it and
when worn, have it retipped with an advanced stylus type.
Makes far more sense than the nonsense your suggesting.
And a lot cheaper long run, with no cantilever bodging costs.

rgds, sreten.

* Its performance degrades faster than any other stylus type.

Why not, better boron or Sapphire cantilever and better diamond tip. I have friends with experience with Expert Stylus and are happy.

Cheers

Replacing the stock 103's with ruby cantilevers and LC stylus was quite a popular upgrade at The SoundSmith for a while. They even have their own versions, with wood bodies. They also offered a "potting" service if you had your own wood/aluminum body.
