I am looking for any information on FE203 Sigma. It seems these were produced shortly in 1983 (or around this time). What would be difference to FE203? Or maybe to FE208 Sigma? I would appreciate any detail you may have. Also about enclosures intended by producer.
No experience yet with fostex but it should be catalogued here if a legacy product but I didn’t spot it. https://fostexinternational.com/docs/speaker_components/discontinued_models.shtml
Thank you very much woodo, thank you very much GM. This was really helpful.
BTW: An interesting article on evolution of these speakers.

Not sure if related or of interest however former member ? MJK has a write up on the modelling of an MLTL using the FE206E and Fe207E http://www.quarter-wave.com/Project05/Project05.html. A search of the forum threads might turn up some useful knowledge.
Thank you very much woodo.
I did search for details of FE203Z and found very little information at all for this particular type. Fostex catalogue mentioned BK201 to be the enclosure for single FE203Z. As real life examples I saw only very few; e.g.
I wonder what would be enclosure design limitations / differencies between enclosure for FE203 (8 ohm with single magnet) and for FE203Z (16 ohm; with enhanced driving force - as nandappe mentions).

So not intended for bass reflex enclosures I guess.
Basically, FOSTEX(FOSTER) ∑(sigma) series and Super series have increased driving power to match BH.
They can be used with bass reflex or sealed, but bass sound cannot be expected, so filtering or equalization is necessary.
