A picture paints a thousand words so this is what I see today. Just done a quick forum search and not seen any comments either. Also all the avatars of everyone off line have gone, ones online seem to be there.

I thought I had clicked on a wrong key.
Rebooting twice trying to reset all to previous did not help.
Firefox.
It was working fine @ ~ 1200hrs GMT

same problem here. see the same problem on ipad (not yet updated to 4.2), firefox 4 beta 7 and ie8.
seems to be an issue with the icons on the left and on peoples avatars. i removed all cache and history to see if that was the issue -had no effect whatsoever.

Did it on IE6 (don't use it-no cache) , not initially on chrome. Wiped chrome's cache (that is why chrome worked - larger cache) same thing on chrome. Code is the same for images as it was yesterday .... so it is server/site related.

I'm having the same problems in Firefox 3.6.11 on my linux laptop and an even later version on my linux desktop.
All of the icons are rendered as text.. Very odd.

Edit: Funny did not capture the quote either..
Makes it hard to navigate and apparently "P" is sometimes rendered as a smiley..
